Infokat Discovery: Use the UK Libraries' catalog, Infokat Discovery, to find SCRC's rare books and print collections.

Kentucky National Digital Newspaper Program: Documents Kentucky’s role in the National Digital Newspaper Program, whose mission is to fund and make available online historic newspapers from all fifty U.S. States and its territories.

Notable Kentucky African Americans Database: Offers biographical and historical information about African Americans in and from Kentucky, including places and events.

University of Kentucky Libraries Microfilm Holdings Database: Provides access to the University of Kentucky's holdings of microfilm masters, including newspapers as well as other primary sources.

Researchers For-Hire

In order to best serve our patrons equally, SCRC can only guarantee up to 30 minutes of research on your behalf. If you are unable to conduct your own research on-site, a list of independent professional researchers in Kentucky can be found at the Kentucky Department for Libraries and Archives website.

By providing a reference to this list, the SCRC in no way endorses any researchers, or the quality of any researchers' work. The SCRC is not responsible for any arrangement made with independent researchers. Such arrangements, including the character, extent, and cost of the work, are purely private, contractual matters between the independent researcher and you. It also is up to you to determine whether or not the researcher's experience and qualifications meet your needs. Comments or complaints sent to the SCRC regarding any individual independent researcher can not be engaged, as we have no means for resolution or responsibility in any disputes.
